We visited the Tardieu Laurent winery near Marseille in search of red wines, but were (pleasantly) stunned by this spectacular white. Light yellow-gold. Deeply pitched aromas of poached pear and lemon curd, with powerful honey and anise accents. Supple and broad, offering weighty flavours and hints of marzipan and chamomile. Shows very impressive power and intensity on clinging finish.
