Our secret from meeting the Cyrot brothers in Pommard – the vines making this lovely Burgundy were originally classified as fully-fledged Volnay vines, and in the view of many, still could be. A step up from your average red Burgundy! Like most Volnays, it is medium rather than full bodied, but has all the delicious fruit that red Bourgogne can offer.
